Working the inflation trade

  1. Is Chevron a monster of a stock or what?
Everybody says the past 4 decades were hugely deflationary.
So CVX had been in a "bear market" since 1982? WTF
The "oil majors" were mostly phased out, favoring tech stocks.
Which means most money managers had to favor the tech stocks, (e.g. AAPL, and recently stuff like NVDA).
I think CVX is still in the DJIA.
But it is much less widely held.
What happens when the pendulum shifts in the opposite direction?
    ***
Up until about 120 years ago (1903?), this stock was nearly 100% owned
by the richest industrialist who ever lived along with a bunch of other oil stocks.
Stuff that in your pipe and smoke it :p:p:p

  4. I'm talking about the whole business model,
Which was established many decades ago.
