Thought I would share some of the stocks I own...Which ones went up and which went down. This is not all...Just a sample for anyone who wants to take a look.

    Let's go with down first...

FXA, FXE, FXC...Strong dollar against common currencies.
GDXH, SLV...Gold and silver, not today.
Lowe's (LOW)...Don't know why it dropped, but it did. The same with Target.
TEVA...Good earning today, but Trump may not be Israel's friend (my only Israeli stock).
    CCS...Entry level housing.
Pfizer and Novartis...In fact all my drug companies were down today.
ICLN/TAN...I gambled and lost. I thought if Harris won and the Democrats controlled Congress, solar would be the big winner. I have done covered calls on both of these (just in case).
    B & G Foods (BGS)...Bad earnings and guidance.

    Winners...

    Citi (C), COLB, ZION...Banks.
    Oil stocks...
    Schwab...
    Avis/Budget (CAR)...
    Micron/Intel...
    ARKQ...Cathie Wood
    CVS...
    Nucor (NUE)...
    Vulcan (VMC)...

Everything else is good, but nothing to write home about...

Everybody i believe is using this 1 day to make an investment decision into the next 4 yrs as if the next 4 years are going to be what today was, I wouldn't even consider making today a sign of anything. This was nothing but bots trading vs bots and algorithms doing what they are programmed to do based off of certain dynamic outcomes. Pay no mind to what today brought forth!

    Volume has been moved around,
Now can it trigger enough momentum for the next 4yrs ?

Maybe not. But I wouldn't advise to disregard what's been moving today.
Some will fade away and some will gain stronger momentum.

I assure you, you wouldn't want to give me your money! I've been trading again for the last several months and have been lucky after abysmal results in 2022-23.
I just have a very simple methodology... Familiarize myself with a half dozen stocks' movements and news impact. Get in and out on 2-3% gain, feel lucky to escape the reversal, feel lucky even when I cut my winners too early. One more: I'm learning to cut my losses quickly but it's hard.

The solar stocks got hammered because of a fear that Trump will end the IRA funding but I wouldn't be positive that's going to happen. Most housing related stocks got hammered at the open but some of them recovered. The 10 yr went up a lot again.

I think the big winners were the deal making banks & regionals. GS was up like 13-14%. So was C. Private credit was up a lot too.

Do you know what was this about? Have you been holding Novartis for long?

Some went up. I think it depends on if the company is US based vs foreign based and also the disease area. Many cancer treatment drug companies went up.

PFE is big in COVID vaccine and Paxlovid and you know Trump's view on COVID.
