That won't go over well I wouldn't think. Who needs NFLX. This stuff is crazy. http://www.pbs.org/newshour/rundown...sidering-perhaps-terminating-special-counsel/
Either Sessions, or Trump, need to let Muuller go, saying, "Thanks, but no thanks. It represents obstruction of the agenda Trump was voted in to implement". Then, Shiff and his buddies in congress will have to make good on their threat to re-hire Mooler anyway. Then we can find out just which republicans want to waste our time, and tax-payer dollars on this fraudulent premise. Sessions needs to un-recuse himself, and take over. The basis is that things have changed since the Comey hearing.
What prevents him from enacting his agenda while the investigation continues? What has one got to do with the other?
It turns out Comey has a devastating record of overreach and outright incompetency. He was behind unfair prosecutions of various notables, including Martha Stewart, Frank Quattrone and the guy whose life was ruined when they falsely charged him with sending anthrax to congress. He appointed out of control Special Counsel Patrick FitzGerald, a personal friend, to harass the Bush administration. Now he seeks to accomplish the same thing using his friend Robert Mueller. https://thefederalist.com/2017/06/1...nable-obstruction-cases/#.WT7L0W9wEU8.twitter Trump needs to nip this in the bud.
Intimidation and anyone who responds to intimidation. I believe Trump can be intimidated. But mostly, Republicans can be intimidated. If their leader can be surrounded with a cloud of illegitimacy, they will continue to follow the lead of Ryan. The special counsel farce/which hunt represents tampering with our election. We can expect mission creep. That's the most intimidating of all to the party the people voted in.
The idea of firing Mueller is clearly a political spin move know as a trial balloon. Run it up the flagpole and gauge the response. It started with Newt Gingrich, a Trump surrogate and well-known bomb thrower. Then Trump's friend Chris Ruddy upped the ante a bit on PBS. I am not seeing much blowback, other than democrat grandstander Adam Schiff. He threatened improbably that congress would appoint Mueller if Trump fired him. The silence from congressional republicans has been deafening. They aren't about to take on Trump after Comey made such a mess of things. Congress can mount its own investigation. It cannot appoint a Special Counsel or Prosecutor with power to indict people because that is purely and exclusively an Executive Branch responsibility. Adminstation figures could refuse to cooperate with any congressional investigation, you know, like Obama did for years with no consequences. Congress cannot even enforce a subpoena or contempt citation without the DOJ. If Trump decides to go hard ball, congress' only remedy is impeachment, which just isn't happening in the runup to the mid-terms.
