Scalping is a popular strategy for many traders because it allows them to make multiple smaller profits throughout the day, rather than waiting for larger price movements. This quick-paced approach can be appealing for those looking to capitalize on short-term fluctuations. Why do you think scalping is preferred by so many traders, despite its challenges?
They don't recognize that there are challenges They think they have superior intellect which will allow them to outperform the market. They think they have found the holy grail methodology. They believe in the you tube trading videos. They think th+ey have a job but act likes it is a game.
scalping is just a current trend in the market every sector adjusts their strategy based on what works today and today long term holding does not work because of extremely fast market moves. online platforms changed the game the reaction time of most participants is almost instant, creating massive selloffs. adding to that is AI and algo trading which gets triggered by other ai and algo manipulators to either sell or buy so its a very fast paced market now where holding is dangerous unless you have your entry point on point and you have some cushion to absorb the fluctuations
Small frequent profits give instant gratification and the illusion of winning, just like writing options to generate regular income, until a steamroller rolls by. Don't get me wrong, I am currently scalping to generate tiny profits, so I am speaking from experience, waiting for the steamroller to come by.
That is obvious. It is an illusion of winning. writing unhedged options is a losing strategy. you are competing against professionals.
Iron Chef- The kind of trading you describe has elements of Russian Roulette and/ or habitual smoking. False statement by definition.
Small account size, too many ads, day trading margins greatly reduced. But most don't understand scalping is THE MOST DIFFICULT way to achieve profits. Most believe they are smarter than most and don't need to put in the 10,000 hours of work.
Dont listen to this ^ (if you're even human lol). mute is an example of why people always want to start scalping. FEAR. The longer they're in the market, the more time they have to become fearful and stress out. No doubt more can be made scalping, but those starting off doing it are likely a large proportion of that 95% failure statistic IMO, starting off wanting to scalp is both very common, and a bad idea.
heck reading thru et you would think investing is the most common trading method not scalping. how did something shinned and talked down so much here win up the preferred trading method?
