Why is my cost basis way higher than actual on IB?

  1. Can anyone please explain why my cost basis on TSLA shares is showing as 318.46???

    I currently own 30 shares of TSLA. It includes the 28 shares and the 2 shares highlighted by red dots. I sold the 28 shares first before buying back the 28 shares after realizing it was a shakeout..... I am very confused because my unrealized P&L on IB is showing as a loss even though majority of the shares I bought were way below the current price 287.74 compared to 318 currently.

    If you sold Tesla at a loss in the last 30 days and repurchased it (including via reinvested dividends), the IRS wash sale rule would disallow the loss and add it to the cost basis of the repurchased shares. This would raise your cost basis." Mods please close thread thanks : p
