B/c after the spinoff the remaining part is less than before, maybe? Or this one: b/c of the selloff, maybe? Ie. some holders want to (and do) get out of it b/c they don't have trust in the spinoff solution.
It is not trading x the spinoff. Lack of trust is a possibility, whatever that suggests. However, it is rare that spinoffs are viewed negatively.
Is this what wit passes for nowadays.? You will have better opportunities with your saxophone then being a financial commentator.
main thing is im a trader, thx 4 idea, i'll take a shot i dont give af about why, i just want to make $ on price action
That's probably the best answer you'll get. Does it really matter why? The perception of investors has changed. Profit taking. Someone has found an investment/trade they think will be better than the one they are holding. Someone needs the cash right now. Short sellers. Stop hunters. Pick one or two. Anyone who wants to sell has to drop their price to find a buyer.
on ET. I happen to be interested in this particular situation why the spinoff news was not favorably received. There is a reason which some analyst knows especially with hindsight instead of nonsense about more favorable opportunities causing a 20% drop in 10 days.
Why does it matter if you know the reason? People love a good story but knowing the reason after the fact isn't going to do anything for the price. Why is it recovering today? would it help if you knew?
