Even with his title wrong (he went into a higher tax bracket), he makes the case for dividend investing.

This was last years, but if your income is below $80,000. filing jointly, it makes sense.

We (wife and I) pay no taxes, I'm 67 and my wife is 65...And having large amounts of Roths, it becomes easier to see why there is a place for this strategy.

You need to watch to the end to see why he went away from them.

In the last few years, I am starting to go away from dividends stocks a bit. I will look at them, but look more for the quality of the company, option opportunities (covered calls), market share, share buybacks, PE, growth, ect.

I'm retired...But do have some money working on the sidelines (CDs and Treasures).

Again, dividends do have a place in society...Just a very limited place.

    Hey Cabin,

i gave a look at his uploads :
    https://www.youtube.com/@AndreiJikh/videos

and it looks like he's good at many things, but master at nothing, thus, i am not sure if it is worthwhile to follow such a person when it comes to your personal decisions.

Watched this while waiting for the water to boil :

    His portfolio's largest positions :

And he is giving ,,opinions'' about great, ,,easy" to understand names like this :
(he's definitely an affiliate or a fool, - names that he mentions are peaking)

This was just the second video I saw of him. This video looked solid...I am sure much of his advice is off greatly.

It's just like anybody...You listen and take in what was said. You reject none, some, most, or all of it. You still listen and evaluate.

I have internet and a TV antenna...I don't get Jim Cramer. But if I'm at a hotel or motel, I'll listen to his words/noise. About 90% of what he says is noise. But that 10% may have some value. I'll investigate further...Reject most or all of that 10%. But if he has a diamond in the rough, (as I listen though the squawk boxes), I'll pursue something.

What he said (video guy), about dividend flow and taxes made sense (I include covered calls many times)...

    That's all I'm saying...

The whole point of owning a company is for dividends now or in the future. It’s the fundamental pillar of capitalism.
