Why are healthcare ETF's and stocks participating in the selloff? PJP (Invesco Dynamic Pharmaceuticals ETF) -4.60% IHE (iShares U.S. Pharmaceuticals ETF) -3.47% XPH (SPDR S&P Pharmaceuticals ETF) -4.69% PBE (Invesco Dynamic Biotechnology & Genome ETF) -4.42% PPH (VanEck Vectors Pharmaceutical ETF) -3.93% Isn't the selloff health care related? I would think this sector would be doing very good at this time.
i think gold is a useless proxy possibly a speculative asset, its not like high rates were the problem before. the yen the vix are the winners
I mean if you're talking about strictly investing, just ignore my post. Otherwise it just comes down to your chart, TA and/or risk perimeters. Those are really the constants you have to rely on. You can debate and find countless of opinions on news, why its going down and etc. Even if you come to the correct conclusion, that still doesn't mean everyone else will agree with you. So, you can be right on the reasons and wrong on the trade / direction anyways. The markets were away over done by just about any metric, any type of tipping point or excuse to come down and they are going to clear out some of the overbought.
As Yogi Berra, the master of elocution, use to say: In theory there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice there is a difference.
Hey Zdreg, i didn't wanted to use that old cliche ,,Market can stay irat...", so basically rephrased it. Probably one of the few professions where things turn out, not the way it should be, - so often.
