    It works.

Just put this into your headphones on a very low level while laying in your bed, and you will be out in no time. Nitey night!

Play to a bluetooth speaker under the foot of your bed.

    Tinnitus, I hates ya.

No no no. This is the kind of white noise people should avoid. The constant sound of rain. I am telling you, the varying frequencies of planes will soothe the brain better than the standard "rain noise".

Rain is not synthetic white noise (which I agree is best avoided), it is rain and a natural sound we evolved with. To me it brings me back to my place above a river. Deeper sleep, somewhat more dreams.

If you are single, maybe jet engine noises work for you though. :)

Hey now, this is all assumed to be heard through headphones, not the sound system in the bedroom, hehe!

I like the rain sound but the jet noises just make me tense.

bought one of these years ago; it's overpriced at this point. Kept me from waking up when the furnace kicked on:

Oi! You maybe just haven't found the right flight? Haven't you fallen asleep on planes before because of the ambient white noise in the cabin? :-(

No, not really. But then again, I am one of those people with an intense fear of flying so I don't really relax in a plane at all, white noise or no white noise.

I like sleeping with the fan on, I guess that qualifies as "white noise", though now I see all these things about "blue noise" and "brown noise"....wtf. I don't know if there is any science to the "color" of the noise, is there?
