this statement merits your fake news title?

White House advisers have discussed a potential point of leverage over their adversary, a senior administration official said: a pending merger between CNN’s parent company, Time Warner, and AT&T. Mr. Trump’s Justice Department will decide whether to approve the merger, and while analysts say there is little to stop the deal from moving forward, the president’s animus toward CNN remains a wild card.

how so? how was this info revealed? who did they discuss it with. was it be discussed or were they disseminating the info as a threat? I do not know and your story seemed very vague.

    context matters.
in some contexts this would probably be seen as unethical

however, in another context such as a conflicts of interest discussion with staff... this could be innocuous.

I would bet if it is the former the NYT would have made a big deal about it.

Yup, the leakers should identify themselves in full public view because Donald loves transparency and will have their back.

  6. My advice would be to handle the review in such a way that will inflict maximum damage on CNN and TimeWarner. That's certainly the way the democrats would handle it.

this item you are referencing is buried in a story and totally lacking in context.

    you are making unfounded assumptions.
you may be correct but we really don't know.

Funny how you were not so skeptical when posting fake news about Seth Rich or speculating about his murder
