White House edits official transcript of reporter insult

While the president told ABC News reporter Cecilia Vega, “I know you’re not thinking. You never do,” the White House transcript reads, “I know you’re not thanking. You never do.”

 

Could it possibly have been a typo? What does that even mean "I know you're not thanking".

Brazenly altering official transcripts, are they altering economic figures? This notion that it is career people etc. etc., they can corrupt anything.
