Which US options broker currently is the cheapest when trading say on average 1000 Call and Put contracts per day? (no preference for some select tickers, rather trading among all of the listed "normal" tickers with options)
There are commission free options brokers I heard (just google a bit). But here I would go with limit orders rather than market orders into the markets. Our rate for 20,000 option contracts per month is $0.35/Option. On some of our platforms you can also choose between our smart route to avoid option exchange fees or direct orders to an option exchange and be subject to their maker/taker schedule. In effect, having the opportunity to get credits for adding liquidly to reduce your cost on single leg orders.
Dependent on monopoly/non-monopoly product and account total assets. There is also currently an ORF holiday some venues.
