CME just added the E-mini Russell 2000 Index -http://www.cmegroup.com/trading/equity-index/us-index/e-mini-russell-2000_contract_specifications.html Bob
If you want more excitement in your life, WTI Crude (CL), is a great cure for boredom! Natural Gas (NG) will drive you completely insane. Edit: I just remembered you said "index futures." lol. My comment stands though.
I used to trade FTSE 100 futures about 20 times a year but moved to DAX after the greedy ICE cunts started to charge $120 a month in data fees to retail.
SSG (Singapore on SGX), STW (Taiwan on SGX), N225 (Nikkei on OSE/JPX), SPI (Australia on SFE). TF and sometimes Z (FTSE on ICEEU). Plenty of other stuff to trade besides equity indexes though. They're actually quite annoying in behavior.
I trade mostly (75% of my trading) the NQ (and not ES or YM at all). I used to trade the Dax and the FTSE-100 (when I was 18). The other things I trade (mostly CL and very occasionally Euro and Pound futures) aren't indices.
jFCE, CAC40, futures provide an opportunity to trade volatile news when it comes out of France. It's also useful for spreading against ES, FTSE, FDAX...you name it.
