I have been using optionshouse for last 5 years to write naked VIX calls. After OH was acquired by Etrade, their margin requirement increased from 25% to 75%. Is there other broker that offers what OptionsHouse used to offer? Thanks.
Is this a PMA or Reg-T account? What did Option HOuse used to offer? In a Reg-T account, we offer Reg-T margin. In a PMA, we Shock VIX options -25%/+200% for risk. That loss must be less than your equity. Bob

Yeah selling calls on the VIX sounds like motorcycle racing. You can make lots of money if you are good, but eventually you will end up with a broken collarbone.
