Hi all Which broker has low span based margin requirements especially for naked index optons? For Eurex products? Thanks
Eurex do not use SPAN they have there own margining system. Over on big mike's trading forum the option sellers use Decarley in Las Vegas.
What do you consider low? Would a price shock of +|-10% with a vol shock of +|-20 vol points be adequate? Email me if you want to provide me more details about your trading and your account. Bob
Dude, with all respect but you keep on asking people to contact you with all sorts of personal information and often confidential information while you hardly ever return a favor. Not saying you have to but I want to make newbies aware that you are out here to scout business hence act out of pure self-interest. Why don't you turn it around and explain in a clear and concise way what it is that you are selling so everyone is on the same page?
"there are many details you cannot discuss in a public forum"? How is that? You mean discriminatory pricing according to the mantra the dumber the client the higher the charge? I am not sure what information you possibly could not communicate in public. It is not that you are someone with insider information or disseminate market moving research. At the very least you could mention in addition to "Email me if you want to provide me more details about your trading and your account."... ...that you offer such in order to solicit a potential client.
Yes, Eurex do use a SIMILAR system. Unfortunately swiss Eurex brokers like Saxo and Swissquote require about 3 times of the exchange minimum. Unfortunately also NO US broker (and I asked Decarley) can provide EUrex options ( DAX underlying or Eurostoxx50). Seems due to US regulations.
To specify my opening post: I`m looking for a NON-US based eurex broker offering a span equivalent margin for naked eurex options products. And I`m looking for a NON-US based CME/CBOE broker offering span margin (like Decarley or RJO). As I`m of a certain age and live in Switzerland I have the risk of estate taxation in case of death. As the US and Switzerland have no Double Taxation Agreement, the IRS would take about 40 % of my account if I die. Understandably I try to avoid both, death and the IRS, for the time being - at least until I found another CME/CBOE broker -- outside of the US. Interactive Brokers are not acceptable as they have their own - non span - margin algo. Thanks for any hints
nothing wrong with it...see if you please PM me with all your personal account information and details. Maybe I can help you...
volpunter, relax man. Robert Morse is a sponsor and has generally been helpful around the forum. I don't see the big issue if he tries to drum up a little business from time to time as long as it's not overbearing and 100% of the time.
