Where's the Pardon for Thousands of Black Men Locked Up for What Hunter Did? | Opinion President Biden was the author of the laws that locked up many Black men for doing some of the same crimes that Hunter was just pardoned for. As a senator, Biden was one of the authors of the law that his son violated, the prohibition against drug addicts owning guns. He has repeatedly bragged about his involvement in creating virtually every major crime law of the 1980s and 1990s. His push to create a federal "drug czar" and went so far that even Ronald Reagan vetoed it. Moreover, one of the most egregious acts of the Biden legislative legacy was the outrageous sentencing disparity between those in possession of crack cocaine and powder cocaine. Now consider that Hunter was seen multiple times on tape smoking crack cocaine and wasn't even charged with possession, while thousands of Black and Hispanic Americans were harmed by the disparate sentencing that Joe Biden supported.
Hunter was also pardoned for any federal crimes going back to 2014. Non violent crime needs Trumps early release program activated. The Biden crimes could be charged under RICO. If Kash Patel is confirmed for FBI director, Trump will have leverage.

I am black man, and my family respect Biden decision. We do not care, because we would do the same thing to protect our kids. It is not a big deal. That isn't true and demonstrable false. Do you want me to list the millions of things that have been done in the US to help black people? Helping black people is in no way exclusive to Trump but I will just name a few that he has done: President Trump created the Opportunity Zones program, which led to $75 billion in new private investment into distressed communities. The majority of opportunity zone residents are minorities, including more than 7 million Black Americans. President Trump also signed legislation that included more than $100 million for scholarships, research, and centers of excellence at HBCU land-grant institutions. As president, Trump signed into law the FUTURE Act, making permanent $255 million in annual funding for HBCUs and increasing funding for the Federal Pell Grant program.
Good Morning echopulse, Please let me know when America (USA) will repay black people for 400 years of reparation and free labor please. This is ALL real black people care about. For over +400 years America received free labor from black people while white people made profits, 100% return on labor, and paid no labor. Black people was born as slaves and died as slaves. Raped, beaten, killed, hung, and work 16 hour days free of charge. That is the ONLY help black people want and need, is giving them reparations and direct money. No real black person cares about money giving to HBCU. All that other stuff you mentioned, no real black person give a damn about that stuff. Please have more conversations with actually black people and ask them the type of help they want and they need. They ALL will say "Please give me some money in reparation"
The large majority of ancestors of blacks in the U.S. immigrated voluntarily after 1865. Explain to us anyone in the U.S. should owe them direct reparations. I am not going to defend slavery -- but there is no reason to pay direct reparations to a group of people whose ancestors were not directly impacted by U.S. slavery as a whole. Yes, I can understand that blacks in the U.S. have struggled since 1865 with civil rights and economic issues -- there are better ways to address these historic imbalances than paying direct reparations. There have been numerous programs in the U.S. to help blacks with housing, education, and welfare for decades -- we need to enhance and improve these programs to collectively make blacks more successful in the U.S. and overcome past injustices.
