I know, it is the Daily Mail, but the info could be still gold, I mean good: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...naire-Jack-Ma-not-seen-public-TWO-MONTHS.html The Chinese tech billionaire behind Asia's version of Amazon has reportedly not been seen in public for more than two months after falling foul of President Xi Jinping. Jack Ma, one of China's most successful and outspoken tycoons, criticised the country's 'pawnshop' financial regulators and state-owned banks in an incendiary speech in Shanghai in October. He called for reform of a system that 'stifled business innovation' and likened global banking regulations to an 'old people's club'. The speech angered the Chinese government, which viewed Ma's criticisms as an attack on the authority of the Communist Party, and led to its extraordinary clampdown on Ma's business activities. In November, officials in Beijing 'dressed down' Ma and suspended the blockbuster $37billion initial public offering of his Ant Group on the direct order of President Xi, the Wall Street Journal reports.
So what is your take, Jack Ma: 1. Is busy buying up all those Bitcoins. 2. Is in a reeducation camp. 3. Got Covid and recuperating. 4. Dead Jerry, dead.
One of the billionaires who criticized the system "confessed" to various crimes and got 18 years. Ma is worth 63 billion bucks, but I have a feeling I will have a better summer than him. I think he is a teacher, yet he didn't learn the Russian billionaires' example, you can be rich as long as you stay away from politics. Idiot.... Laogai (Chinese: 劳改; pinyin: Láogǎi), the abbreviation for Láodòng Gǎizào (劳动改造), which means reform through labor, is a criminal justice system involving the use of penal labour and prison farms in the People's Republic of China (PRC). " approximately 1,045 laogai facilities were operating in China, and contained an estimated 500,000 to 2 million detainees."
A very good explanation of how the Chinese rulers see the new oligarchs: "In a lot of ways the way the heads of the Communist Party in China operate isn't all that different from Imperial Chinese Court Culture. It just sort of transitioned to have a lot of socialist slogans and lingo; but the Chairman is still basically the Emperor, and the various ranks of party officials Nobles. And in Chinese (and honestly in a lot of Asian culture) Merchants where always pretty low on the social totem pole. They weren't seen as really producing anything(as opposed to craftsmen, blacksmiths, or even farmers); and they weren't the warrior class, neither were they public workers. It was seen as sort of a necessary evil in a lot of ways(kind a how modern society looks at landlords really) And that never really changed even as China went to State Capitalism. So sure Jack Ma may be making money, but he is still just a merchant, and if he makes himself a problem to the Chairmen(as he did) his life isn't worth all that much more than anyone else."
Sounds a bit like Cancel Culture. See what happens if a tech CEO would even joke about why they don’t have more women or black executives, or about hiding revenues offshore while promoting higher taxes (officially supporting democrats), etc.
Read about this CEO, who would not allow anyone to open his soda cans, or prepare his meal. (me like him, (that was the reason) just don't like to touch the food, even with our own hands) People came with a conclusion/conspiracy theory, that - he thinks, that his team, wants to - poison him. (laughs) Word. People are people. There's narcissists (25%), sociopaths(5%) & psychopaths(1%). Never know whom are you dealing with. Takes time. p.s. brutal honesty, the ones that you mentioned, so called social justice warriors, who start to scream/run away, whenever it comes to an intelligent/civilized argument - low iq case/deeply rooted beliefs. If both, then, time to run for us (laughs) p.p.s sorry, off topic.
The whole Chinese con racket is very simple to understand. Nobody, and I mean nobody, becomes a multi millionaire in China without commit crimes. Be it lies, cheating, stealing, colluding, corruption. This is how the CCP has everyone in their pockets. Even Xi could be brought down in an instance for various crimes committed against Chinese laws by someone who had the command of the army. Anyone who has amassed riches in China can be brought down in an instant if he or she goes against the CCP leadership. That's how this system works. Every government official who is more than a road cop has committed various crimes and can be put down at any point in time if need be. Total and complete compliance is the only way to climb up and enjoy power, women, good liquor, money, and wealth. One misstep and the entire house of card collapses. Chinese ordinary people have all been brainwashed and the country has been perfectly isolated from truth and facts by state news and media. This is the perfect system of total control, even better organized than the USSR or Eastern Europe ever was. Even a few brave men who are not afraid to die could never stage a coup because the average Chinese would never believe them how evil their own government really is. What a sad system of mental imprisonment.
