I was trying to post in a not so old thread (I think last post about 10 days ago) and it is still can not be found. How long will it take to get all the data base up and running? (the thread was Bitcoin stories) Edit: I was able to find the thread using Advanced Google search, so I guess it is available just not all the search function operating correctly yet....
I have to take the site down in order to rebuild the search index completely. I tried to do it the other night while letting the site run at the same time but the database just choked and crashed . The problem is that rebuilding an index of millions of posts takes about 15 - 20 hours. So obviously the best time for me to do this is over the weekend, which is what I'm waiting for.
