BTC is a small part of my portfolio so I haven’t really put in the effort to follow any real data. I’ve just been watching the chart and listening to a few talking heads. I’d like to find an information source that provides data similar to what NASS reports for the agriculture sector. Is there a decent free source for that?

Nothing AFAIK that is centralized like NASS. Many sites can be found thru google of course.

My problem is that I don’t know what I’m looking for. I know the NASS reports inside and out but don’t know what metrics are available for BTC.

That’s disappointing that there is only price, OI, and volume. I’ve already got that from my trading platforms. Is there anywhere that tracks the creation of new wallets? Or maybe a report of the number of businesses adding BTC as an accepted payment?

Could be, but as I said previously beyond the scope of my day trading needs.

  8. I like to use CoinCodex as my favorite BTC data source because it provides real-time coin prices, historical charts, market capitalization, and portfolio tracking. It also has a range of tools like price alerts, calculators, and widgets that help me stay on top of the market trends. CoinCodex is easy to use and has a sleek and user-friendly design. I think it is a reliable and comprehensive platform for anyone who is interested in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. What about you? What are your preferred BTC data sources and why?

twitter search yields the most updated info. Usual suspects like Messari.. sometimes Dune Analytics has interesting data.

Jameson Lopp's blog still remains one of the best resources.
