Swing Trading - or - Day Trading? It was said that "that guy can’t even be profitable in swing trading , so proceeds to say day trading is a scam to somehow justify he/she has failed in both day/swing trading? You have a problem. A.) You do not know what kind of person you are to be asking this question, after all these years of trading. B.) You never really read my journal. I mean, every single page on the thing, and thought things through. C.) You don't give a shit, because something in your posting has changed, which means you as a person has changed. I cannot peg it, but I am damned sure you are not the same easymon1 I first met on here. This is why I am no longer going to post renko charts at your request. In one thread you seem genuinely curious about renkos, but in another thread just shit all over me. Figure out who you are first, and then things will get easier. Just give it TIME, dude.
If you have no qualms about holding stocks overnight then swing trade If you do, daytrade - if you cannot do either INVEST!
If you read through it thoroughly, it should take you, in my estimation, 3-4 months to fully understand and digest it, if starting from scratch. After all, the entries and exits you see will have to be plotted on your own charts, and that data will take time to retrieve and mark with the timestamps.
Which would you say is easier? Swing or Day Trading to make the same return with average over a couple of years?
See? That is part of the problem. You don't take shit seriously anymore. You are a different poster. Something is off with you. Chill and listen, man!
It seems like the implication of your well regarded post is that 1) If it's all the same to the trader, if it matters not that the trades will be held overnight, 2) Then Swing Trade. Would Swing trading be easier? Less time consuming? More Profitable on a time per dollar basis? More Predictable? Like that... along those lines?
Neither. Dont think any kind of trading is easier than any other - that i am saying after having tried almost every kind there is (available to retail traders anyways..). Like the old saying goes.. trading is the hardest way to make an easy buck. That my friend is the truth. No matter what kind of trading you do - it aint going to be easy. Ofcourse, you can get lucky multiple times on multiple occasions - and someone swinging left and right might even make a big sum by chance - but if you want to do it with consistency, like a business - not just a dumb luck blind shot - it aint easy. good luck -gariki
