Success in trading is often viewed through the lens of numbers—returns, win rates, and growth. But behind these figures lies a deeper foundation built on discipline, patience, and relentless effort. Over the past 11 years, I've focused on perfecting a strategy rooted in a recurring market pattern, achieving: ✅ 15+ years of backtested profitability ✅ 65% CAGR with strong risk management ✅ Consistent performance even during market turbulence ✅ 140% ROI on Live account Yet, despite consistent results and a proven track record, finding investors to scale this approach has been challenging. Is it skepticism around automated strategies? A crowded market? Or perhaps an overlooked opportunity? To those in the trading and investment world: What do you value most when considering partnerships or allocating capital? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
I've invested in 15-20 CTAs over the past 15-20 years. Do you have at least a years worth of monthly returns? THAT'S what matters to me as for an investment. Max drawdown is more important than total profit IMO. Backtest results are meaningless to me. 140% over what time period? Max drawdown? What market? Futures? Forex? Options?
ONLY a backtest can show you the Max drawdown! I have a year of live account. Started december 23 of 2023 with 140% ROI on Forex
Show your monthly returns. If you can't/won't then I probably know why. Or show a graph that plots your performance. All CTAs that I invest in show max drawdown and they are NOT backtest results.
You are going to need to provide proper statistics for your live results if you want anyone to invest.
THIS is what I want to see. Max drawdown can just be the worst monthly performance. The reason monthly performance is important is so I can see how volatile the performance is. 140% is nice but was it up 80% then down 60% then up 10% then down 80% then then up 200% etc........
Do you both understand that a year of live account says NOTHING AT ALL??? Trades: 167 Profitability: Lost 76 out of 167 trades, which represents 46%. Pips: 8,275.4 Average Win: 153.19 pips / $238.38 Average Loss: -74.53 pips / -$103.15 Longs Won: (69/110) 62% Shorts Won: (22/57) 38% Best Trade ($): (Aug 23) 2,111.98 Worst Trade ($): (May 08) -339.51 Best Trade (Pips): (Aug 23) 972.9 Worst Trade (Pips): (May 08) -231.7 Avg. Trade Length: 4d Profit Factor: 2.77
Daily 0.26% Monthly: 8.08% Drawdown: 25.53% Balance: $23,853.69 Equity: (100.56%) $23,986.83 Highest: (Sep 11) $24,231.45 Profit: $13,853.37 Interest: -$27.64
Then why are you wondering why you can't get someone to invest? I agree it's not long enough if you have a small number of trades like you do but if you had 500 trades then 1 year is enough time to see a pattern. You're more a swing trader which would require a multi-year performance.
