what is your trading style?and which trading style you think will better? there are lot of trading style around me,some one like day trading, swing trading. others, says more successful trader use longer-term(stanly kroll),some ones use program trading. what do you think? which style you will be insist.
Wait everyone WAIT I want to tackle this one. Assuming you are not a fake alias to generate discussion, Lets get to it. There is No right trading style, every trading style is right, mine is day trading with partial automation. As a day trader, you bust your eyeballs every day, and guess what, some guy playing options or swing trading, can have less work and beat your profits. It all depends, who you are, who you work with if anyone, do you have lot of kids or multiple wives busting your chops. Guys doing HFT consider everyone else a FOOL, there, hows that for clarity on trading styles. Some old geezer whos been holding since after fall of 2008 is laughing at everyone including HFTs at how much money his portfolio has at this point. And now to make it even clearer for you, 2014 will IMO be a reset year where ALL including YOU, will lose your money playing the market. So. Any questions.
yes,i think it is a contradiction question about trading style. some people suggest me to learn program trading ,but i don't think it will be a right.i like simple style and my question is executive force. Q:what is HFT? IMO?short for what ?
HFT is when group of guys find a way to cheat you out of your money by using computers to SEE your trades before they happen. Your broker does it too you know. IMO stands for In my Opinion
It's just a contemporary form of market making. Don't you think floor locals and stock specialists used their proximity to the order flow to their advantage back in the day when the majority of volume passed through them? Anyway...I trade trade intraday to manage risk and hold positions for days to weeks to ride the trend if there is one.
As we grow older, scalping or day-trading all day long becomes extremely tiring, physically and mentally. On the other hand, waiting for weeks or months just to get a signal and then wait more weeks/months to close the trade is also very tiring, so the trader must find a balance between those two extremes. Personally I use the 15 min charts to get my signals but if the trend is strong I will hold until it breaks, even if it takes months, as all mega trends begin on the smaller time frames.
