I found a file from CME(attached) - on page 3 it shows actual exchange fees charged by CME to member firms and individual members - for example micro e-min index (like MES)options has 0.01$ fees per side per contract. On page 4 it shows volume discount offered by CME - it shows volume discount on e-mini equity futures and options to both member firms and individual members. But it does not show any volume discount on micro e-mini equity futures or options. So I assume on micro products like MES - they don't give any volume discount. Also what is an example of member firm and what is an example of individual member?
The discounts are not for your broker. They are for you if you buy or lease a membership. https://www.cmegroup.com/company/membership.html
I was not sure that is why I asked - 'Also what is an example of member firm and what is an example of individual member'? I guess individual member will be me if I lease membership correct? and member firms are clearing firms?
