Nobody is going to have 1,991 delegates going into the Democrat Convention to win it outright. That looks more and more likely. With Joe Biden winning a lot of delegates tonight, it makes it very hard for Bernie Sanders although, he should be in the lead with wins in California and possibly Texas with the huge delegate hauls. Joe Biden will still get delegates from California and Texas on top of that.
We had to see how Bloomberg fared out in the real world with real voting to know what his potential was to take a slice that would prevent either biden or bernie from getting a majority. He is not a factor now. He only needed to get a little to mess things up but he did not get even a little.
Bernie has no staying power....he gets the youth all riled up and hopped up on fantasy but then reality sets in...
I hope Mike Bloomberg stays in and spends another $500 million all the way to November 3, 2020. It will help the US economy and boost it with the Corona Virus scare and all. Atleast, his monies will be well spent.
You know I guess it depends on what your definition of brokered is, right? Biden can catch a few breaks and win the nomination outright on the second round before delegates are released but only with the help of superdelegates. For me, that wouldn’t count as a brokered convention either but someone can make a decent argument saying that anything past round 1 is brokered.
Actually, Bernie showed his youth support is waning and no match for Biden’s AA support. Either of which would be a deciding factor in The general election. Biden has shown he can bring out Big AA numbers but Bernie has shown weakness on a core general electability argument with the low younger turnout. Biden is without a doubt the better bet to beat Trump.
This idea that the U.S. can have a revolutions sprung from the workers like in China, Cuba and Russia but in a capitalist democracy with all the benefits is the fantasy bullshit that Bernie is pushing. "Worker's" should be represented but it takes $200 million of their money donated to elect their candidate?? "Worker" revolutions in other countries were started by peasants with the same background as those they claimed to represent. Bernie is a wealthy politician. Healthcare for all, better salaries, etc. all come from the pockets of the middle and upper class, the people Bernie wants taken down in his "revolution" Bernie's movement only has power because of dissatisfaction with Trump. If HRC won the presidency, Bernie would have become irrelevant. The anti-Trump pendulum swung far left in reacton but now that cooler heads are prevailing, Bernie will see his support erode little by little. Once Warren boards the Biden train (countdown in 5 days), Bernie will sulk back to one of his 3 homes.
