What i don´t like about TOS and Tradingview

  1. I would like to start a thread about things you don´t like about these popular softwares.

    1. About TOS i hate most is the fact that you often get a "custom expression subscription limit exceeded" message when setting up a watchlist with your own custom quotes.
I programmed little custom quotes to show which are the weekly/monthly gainers of the stock market. Because of this message i don´t see the movement of all stocks. In this regard TC 2000 is unmatched.

    2. The charting is not so good as on tradingview/tc 2000
I often have to adjust the charts when changing an instrument. This is very annoying and costs time. On the other hand you can programm as much as you want with your own criteria.

    3. About Tradingview i hate most is that the stock screener is below the chart window. By that the chart window shrinks what makes it difficult to watch the screener and the charts at the same time.

    4. You cannot use your own criteria for the stock screener. I would like to know which was the movement in the last 2 hours. It´s not possible. This is only possible with TOS and TC 2000.

I am not an experienced trader and only buy/sell shares. I started using Webull then TOS and then IB. After the other 2, IB felt like a DOS application from a long gone era, very sophisticated yet with a terrible interface and charts. Beside, there are charges right and left for services that are free with TOS so I closed my account.
I like TOS but it is not as user friendly as Webull. Simple things, like the ability to click/hold your mouse button to move the chart right/left AND up/down and use the wheel to focus in/out. It's so simple it's genius for day traders like me to quickly get perspective when TOS requires first selecting a time frame from a drop down menu, then go to 2 separate buttons to click in or out. Not the end of the world, just not as convenient.
Webull also had other important advantages, like full (4 am) pre/post market trading, and the ability to choose which lots to sell. Non US TOS is limited to FiFO (big let down) and 1 hour pre market trading til 8 pm EST.
Webull had issues too. They personalize the platform of another vendor while developing their phone app to match the PC version. But they spend more time on their phone app than fixing pc glitches that take a couple days to fix from a slow responding tech support. They are a new brokerage and working hard to offer a best of class solution but my biggest concern was that they are a Chinese company. Sure they are US accredited and meet all expected regulations, but they appear to be developing out of China and I'm not ready to trust that.

  3. You are absolut right. I am not a Webull customer but the capabilities you mentioned i know from TC 2000 and Tradingview. In TOS with the mousewheel you can move the chart to the left or right but for a vertical movement you first have to select the hand button from the tool menue at the bottom. I also find it very laborious to select saved studies from the drop down menue. But the most annoying thing is the "custom expression subscription limit exceeded" message.
