    On the vertical axis is the price. This is S&P500 E-mini futures. Black monday. This is heatmap charts that show the distribution of liquidity in the DOM.

    Pretty sure these are from and created by Eric@Nanex, aren't they?

    The second and fourth charts yes, but others are created using other software solutions.

    What's wrong with you ppl? Why such complicated looking diagrams? I trade with candlesticks and MA20 only, no other techs. Even then, I still find candlesticks rather complicated compared to its distant cousin the simple line chart.
     
  9. It looks impressive, yes, but where's the value? I bet it's wrong as often as it's right. And in that case, you might just as well flip a coin. : )

    very simple. when you look at the candlesticks you see the price level. when you look at these charts you can see whether the breakdown of the price level or the price will rebound. that's all.
