It is also really important to stay small. The smaller your loss when you lose, the less impact it will have on your mind, the less emotions you will have, the more time you will have to become really good at it.
demo trading - walking on a long plank a few inches from the ground. It is harmless - 90% technical, 10% mind real trading - walking on a long plank a few miles from the ground. It can kill you - 90% mind, 10% technical
Look at your profit column; It looks very scary. It is all positive. Contrary to what you feel/think, your all-positive result is very bad. That means in live trading, you will be topping your trading account repeatedly. Your trading duration on Jul 28 2023 is too short. WORST, you don't have STOP LOSS!!!! How long to migrate from demo to live trading? It is not measured in weeks or a month. It is measured in years or decades. Trading is extremely difficult.
Yeah totally agree with that. Dealing with emotions and greed would be a problem if not starting or staying small.
Yeah thanks for your insights Max. The demo has already run for some time. I just screenshoted that day. True, do you keep both demo accounts and real accounts active to test different trading plans?
Not entirely, slippage, fills and your place in the order book aren't the same, but unless one is scalping for a few seconds and for a few ticks it shouldn't impact the results too much.
Yeah true, the difference is inevitable from different brokers but shouldn't impact the results too much as you said. It's about how we execute trading plans.
