*Trend-following strategies (any like Momentum and Breakout as part of them too, also Momentum strategies are the most researched strategy in scientific peer review studies, see Journal of...Finance and many other Journals) *Support and Resistance strategies (as kind of mean revert with tighter stops but high RR ratios) * Seasonal strategies (mostly as overlay used) *Volatility strategies *Gap strategies *Using cycles (as base strategy or filter)
I don't know what you'd call it. I basically watch a 5 minute chart until price gets close to either today's open, or the hlc of yesterday or the hlc of last week. Then I switch to a 1 minute chart and trade the reversal or the breakout. Five minute chart 1 minute This was a long reversal this morning on the NQ. Thank you to @Laissez Faire for bringing to my attention the Ninjatrader indicators that show the previous day hlc. I used to draw the levels myself and I'd watch the daily and weekly bar charts. Now I just watch the 5 minute until price gets to a level and then I switch to the 1 minute to watch for my entry which can be a reversal or a continuation if a breakout.
