Greetings, Currently, my trading Algo uses Webull API's. Other than Webull's terrible support, their API's seem to work well. Shall I move to Interactive Brokers?
TheBulldog-You are providing no relevant information. What asset classes do you need access to? What latency? Do you need Market Data from the API? What else is important to you?
Yes, you are right. Sorry about that. Simply-put, I'm strictly momentum (scalping) trading with a home-spun Algo. Depending on the volatility of the Stock, I may Buy and Sell within a few seconds. I may perform between 10 and 30 of these per day with no hold-overs to another day. Currently, I utilize Python and SQL Server on a Windows platform to stream Quotes and use API's to make the trades. My end-goal is to be on a VM Windows platform as most of my knowledge and skills fall on Windows. I hope that is sufficient.
I have asked these questions, as Lightspeed offers access to Lightspeed Connect API: (Available early summer), Lightspeed Trader, Sterling Trader Pro, EZE EMS and CBOE Silexx. If you would like a summary of them, just email me.
If the Webull API is working for you, what do you hope to gain by moving to IB? The coding effort is not insignificant.
When you cannot get good support for an issue that you're having, you'll waste uncountable hours trying to figure it out for yourself. My Polygon.io stream is one full minute ahead of Webull. When I open a Webull support request, their AI-based support system thinks I might be interested in something else. It's pathetic! I can easily modify my code!
We offer powerful AMD EPYC Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 VM's in Chicago and New York. Interactive Brokers is an great choice if you are looking for a robust API.
