20 years from now, what is happening now will be seen to have been a big anomaly... right? With the way everything is right now, it can't be explained any other way ?? And it's reflected everywhere; in the markets, society, politics,..... Right?
Things are still pretty normal at the moment, within 20 years from now we will have entered the Singularity, it becomes totally unpredictable what the world will look like after that point. We may have entered the Singularity already
Ya still believe in that Terminator BS? On a serious note, what freaks me out at times is that these millenials can't seem to differentiate between what's real and what's fake. If that shouldn't worry you already, what will we be up against in 20 years? Goddamn brain-dead zombies.
"The media's the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that's power. Because they control the minds of the masses." ~ Malcolm X
Nothing abnormal right now. 20 years from now, things will be the same; Big fish always eat small fish. David has to fight Goliath wisely. Who are the terrorists? It will be defined by the big and powerful. The earth will be broken into pieces not by asteroids but by humans with nuclear bombs. When there are no gullible/unwise people, there will be no scammers. Traders will continue to look for magical / miracle indicators
Where is the proof of that? The so called "AI" is basically a "large language model". They suck badly. What real world problem do they solve? It can help a lot but there is only so much it can help. The reality is that there is little progress being made. I would be happy to be proven wrong. What progress has been made in the last 10 years? Phones basically haven't changed, except now there are more cameras. Search engines basically haven't changed since inception - 20+ years. Now we got the "AI". After 20 years. At this point self-destruction seems more likely than singularity. We are lucky to have Elon Musk fighting for humanity though, so there is hope.
Who cares about the machines. It's the humans that are getting dumber by the day. That's the problem.
