Washington Redskins now to become known as Washington Commies?

  1. Another great move brought to you by progressives.

Two years of studying and fighting about the issue and trying to come up with a new name and now it has changed to a name that will be offensively mocked but it pleases the lefties so that is what matters.

Yep. the lefties keep improving everything. They improved most dem controlled cities to the point where they are no longer liveable.

Under the heading of MORE TO COME, now we move over to whether it is allowable for media and others to refer to them on-air as Commies just because that is their nickname..........and round and round we go.

Naming the team after the dog of the nation's premier gaffmeister. Seems fitting somehow.

    Idiots.

I kind of liked "Washington Football Team."

That's just because you've gotten used to it after two years. In two more years, you will be used to the Commanders.

But like most people, you will eventually slip here and there and blurt out "Redskins", because human. :)

  4. High school teams with Indian names - Tomahawk, Braves, Chiefs etc all changing names. Also word "savage" is to be removed from all and all descriptions of Indians.

  5. Commanders though.... will be so hard to get used to since it does not have any history haha...

Sounds like what kids would name their flag football team..

I haven't watched an NFL game in 20 years and could care less, but it's a stupid name.
    Or maybe it's not.
From a marketing/branding standpoint they had to know that "Commies" will be the name that sticks in pop culture. I'm sure that was discussed in depth.
    In a way, it's a cute name.
"We play the Commies this week."
    I dunno.
    Might be marketing genius.

    edit:

    That is a beautiful dog.
