In a taxable account using portfolio margin if I own 10 warrants (to buy) and sell 10 calls that are ATM (with the underlying) is this treated like a naked options spread?
Depends on your broker. Many will treat warrants like stocks. Some like IB treat them like options and at least some times will cross margin them against holdings in the stock or its options.
