Warner is IPO'ing this week. Today is the pricing day and tomorrow it will begin trading if I've got that correct? Initial price estimates are $23-$26.

Does anyone here trade IPO's? What's your opinion on this?

I'm a newbie but I've heard IPO's can be lucrative but sometimes risky and speculative.

  2. Buy on open, hold for two more days and sell on third day, probably third day opening minutes. Simple. Stop loss is where it is priced.

  3. You do not need to buy the IPO the day it first trades to make a profit. The vast majority of IPO's can be bought weeks or even months later when volume comes into the stock and institutions start buying it.

Put it on your watch list, subscribe to IPOScoop.com, and get a copy of William O'Neil's How to Make Money in Stocks.

    Have fun and good luck!

  4. Generally If you are able to buy an IPO below opening days price, chances are it is going down way more. Then its no point of holding it for long. e.g. UBER, FB etc. It may go on to become a unicorn in long term like facebook did but i am pretty sure it is going to shake most of the investors confidence in early days.(face book opened at 49 and went to 30 in few months and stayed there for 6 months or so). On the contrary if it close more than the opening price for a few days chances are you are going to book some profit out of it. IMO

  5. I have no idea why you are quoting me here. But I told myself that if I were going to join a forum, and if I had nothing nice to say I should say nothing at all.

  6. Day 1 turns out to be exactly as " i told you so". :)

  7. We were just discussing. I did not even use any WORDS. Why every body is so hostile these days.

  8. Trump, Covid.

    Mostly Trump.

Didn't mean to seem hostile. My apologies to you.
