The Context is that he is making a completely false and dangerous claim. Eric is claiming that COVID-19 does not exist and only exists in the political realm to stop his father from getting re-elected.

And somehow magically COVID-19 will disappear from the United States and across the world the day after election day.

What complete nonsense. Clearly this dull-witted child is the idiot of the week.

  4. The "magic" will only happen if a democratic wins, then like a gift from the gods an all clear will be given. If Trump wins, expect a second wave far more threatening than the first. We may need to lockdown until 2024 at which time the "magic" may have another chance. The only idiots are people who don't believe this is a political fight. Painfully obvious

I can't really believe that you are spouting this nonsense. I thought Captain Obvious had more common sense than that.

At its core COVID-19 is not a political issue . It is a public health issue. Using COVID-19 as a political issue with wild claims that it will go away (or not) based on an election is absurd.

It is time for REAL LEADERS to step up and address COVID-19 from response perspective. Trump is failing spectacularly. His response consists of nonsense tweets and no leadership at the federal level beyond trying to treat is as a replacement for campaign rallies. Of course he is making his friends and donors happy via Jared by allowing them to steal PPE supplies using federal confiscation and re-distribute them at a profit.

Trump has abandoned all responsibility and left all everything to the states. The only real leadership is being shown by governors.

  7. We're not discussing whether or not Covid exists, which it does. We're discussing the politicization of it, which is obviously happening. There is very little leadership being shown by anyone because they're all too busy calculating the political fallout or advantage from every decision they make.

I don't see most of the nation's governors driving COVID-19 from a political perspective. Most are driving their response from a public health and economic perspective. They don't spend their time attacking other politicians or politicizing the issue. Many have stated that this is not the time to play politics.

Winston Churchill was a man of intense wit and a lengthy book of insults for those who opposed him. When the Blitz hit England he focused on having everyone pull together and did not spend time driving a political agenda by barraging the other parties with insults. He stepped up and acted like a Leader should.

the only politicization happening is from the WH. Pointing out the abysmal response to COVID by said WH is not politicizing the issue.

You don't see us criticizing GOP governors who responded responsibly to the issue.

  10. Let me break it down for you lost souls. Covid has been politically driven from the jump. It has went through a couple variations, but Trump and election 2020 always the target. Lets go back to January. Was Covid a threat to our very existence then? No it was not, every Democrat said so. Don't bother denying it, we have them all on tape saying no biggie, not really a problem. The politics at that time were Trump is a racist for shutting down travel from China. Ho hum, business as usual, not much milage out of that. First week of March comes. What happened first week of March? We start seeing a few cases pop up here. What else happened first week of March? Think fellas, you can do it. Super Tuesday happened. What happened on Super Tuesday? Joe wins big. After some short lived elation everyone woke up to what I like to call Holy Fuck Wednesday. OMFG, Biden is our candidate. Reality comes crashing in and a pivot happens, a big pivot, an all in pivot. Suddenly Covid is going to kill us all. Now they knew from the moment they spewed that bullshit it wasn't true, but they knew if they could instill enough panic and fear they could convince everyone we need to lock it all down and what would happen as a result of that. Viola, they take away the one big card Trump has, a great economy happening during his reign. All the chips are on this one play now. The longer they keep it going, the better chance they have. The real beauty of this is they convinced Trump to play along. Fucking genius I must say.
