Parasites. Someone needs to figure out a laser that can be used to disrupt the laser signal. Stock warfare.

I've actually thought about that regarding the microwave links they use now. Seems a well placed mylar balloon could do some damage, and not even sure it would be breaking any laws.

That's easy enough to do, but it would be illegal (need an FCC permit). You could just emit noise (instead of coherent bits) at high power and the correct carrier frequency and angle into the receivers. I'm sure they've thought of this though... and have various redundancies. Same goes with the balloon idea... with the amount of money on the line, they have to be redundant to line of sight disruption. Laser beams also tend to "fatten" out a lot over long ranges... so it would have to be a massive object to blank out the entire beam. Unlikely you can put something that large in the air without going to jail for a long long time.

Anyway, I'm not sure why people care...let them play their game, and we'll play ours. There are always ways to win, as long as you don't try to beat them at their game.

This place is guarded like Fort Knox.. complete with a moat, reverse draw bridge, K9`s, all entry & non entry points guarded 24-7. We called it the mystery building when it was being built.. it wasn`t until it was complete that is was disclosed to the taxpayers/residents that it`s actually a national security threat.

  7. This is what it has come to..... gaining an edge in today's market will reach manipulating fundamental particles in time. When pico seconds make or brake the trade then players still need to step up the game. Thanks for posting, I thought it might come to this point.
