So news today is that Walmart is about to buy jet.com for $3 billion....again another old school company paying for a new school bubble .com website.... Jet.com is just another e-commerce site that claims they have everyday low prices on thousands of items...blah blah blah.....its supposed to compete with Amazon which is nearly impossible.... They placed a $3 billion valuation on jet.com and it's not even profitable... Just another overvalued hyped company worth more more than $30 million.....go ahead Walmart throw your money away trying to compete with Amazon....

  2. While I do agree it is an impossible task, one just has to look at the market cap, of Amazon, and know Wal-Mart is in trouble. Jet.com is run by a former Amazon head honcho and probably, the last and best chance, at competing. Of course, if they use Wal-Mart's distribution and pricing power then Wal-Mart is spending, a lot, for a brand. They raised $500M, and Wal-Mart was going to spend $1.1B anyway. $3B is nothing...I think, the Walton heirs, get something like $500M each just in dividends, per year.

I was looking at buying Walmart but not anymore. Some companies need to fire their execs for these bad decisions.

Another article out today suggesting that why Walmart may want to buy 1 year old startup for $3 billion.....
Again this is all foolish talk...the people trying to think this deal should go through are fools....jet.com is losing loads and loads of money on each transaction....they are spending over $20 million a month on advertising alone!!!!! How many months of cash do they have left on hand? If anything I think someone behind the scenes is pushing for this buyout so the investors get there money back ....jet is worthless ...its not even worth anything close to what they are valuing it at especially with the cash they are spending just to compete with Amazon......not even profitable and only a year old and worth $3 billion....welcome to 1999
