Anyone else feel like throwing up when you listen to CNBC concerning Wall St. bonuses? The argument that these perks are needed to "retain the best & brightest" on Wall St. is a joke. There was a sgment on CNBC today & the talking heads were concerned that GS would have trouble retaining "top talent" because they were "slashing" bonuses to a mere 10.9 billion this year ( the same year posted a 2 bil loss for the Q ). Besides banking ( maybe auto ) what other industry can you drive your company into insolvency & cry poverty because you are only averaging 364k per employee??? I really wish the gov would go after all the ill gotten bonuses these people in prior years for pushing this country to the brink of collapse.
