Hey guys, any out-of-the-box software out there that can spot volume/price spikes for a user specified set of tickers? Thanks!
How about Google sheets? Probably easier to just create a watchlist somewhere with a alerts or track unusual volume stocks in a myriad of ways online.
Just create a watchlist and set price alerts...volume is meaningless anyway unless using volume profile for liquidity levels.
%% Good practical plan. Volume mostly means not much; but i still want to know above average 50dma volume, liquidity levels, buyer-seller interest . Plenty of fake volume intraday = a days volume on hourly chart usually is fake LOL Also if you watched or traded-invested SPY much, volume spikes stand out. [The is a buyer for every seller[except maybe post market LOL] but most of us call a down day ''sell volume'' when price is down]
absolutely do that, tiring to keep resetting them) so was looking for volume spike simply as proxy for sharp sudden move
%% OK; but you dont really get paid on volume, even though in a second sense use maybe ok. I like to take a brief lunch break, solves tiring a bit / even if its just to drink some juice + light lunch. Amazing how much average price volume tells...........
