How does one find these stocks out? Are there any kind of indicators that i can use? im ina stock called xgti and wow is it boring to watch. please if you do give an answer understand that i am a beginner and still learning. It seems when people answer they tend to over complicate their answers. thank you

The ATR is a good indicator of volatility (in absolute terms). If you're more interested in the movement in relative terms, just divide the ATR by the closing price.

If you find 30-50% daily moves boring... then you should probably do something like high altitude skydiving, or wingsuit flying... or Russian roulette

    You mean this:

The stock has an historical vol of 207..... There are not many stocks that are more volatile...

... what's your point? Have you been looking at this for only the last 2 days???

I think you're over complicating things...

Okay im looking at the not on daily but on a weekly chart. yes before it did have a lot but now it doesnt. It barely moves. Im not saying youre wrong entirely but when you compare almost any stock such as google apple fb or such youre gonna see a lot of ups and downs. I guess i was a little short sighted because im in this stock. Sorry.
