This latest Trump move is billed as Trump fulfilling a campaign promise. It is assumed that means a promise to his core voters, but at the same time there is hardly anything that could make Mr. Putin happier, short of the Congress officially lifting the sanctions, than the U.S. officially recognizing Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel by relocating its embassy. One has to wonder if moving the embassy wasn't included in the package that included ripping up the sanctions. It certainly is precisely what Putin would hope for, as it serves to drive a wedge between the U.S. and its traditional allies, bigly!

Trump of course is too poorly educated in international affairs to figure this out, or have thought to do this, on his own. He would have had help. Before his election it is inconceivable that Trump would have, on his own, understood the gravity of a U.S. move in foreign policy like this. In fact it is highly likely he barely knew where Israel was on the map. Someone had to be pulling the strings behind those golden curtains in the Oval Office.

Meantime Trump continues to ignore enforcement of the Sanctions in defiance of Congress, and one wonders if Bannon's (a.k.a. Dr. Goebbels*) pals in the House will be able to protect Trump from Congress' wrath. Although, so far he has gotten away with it, Trump is playing with fire when he ignores Congress. The Fall 2018 elections are looming as critical to the Country's future direction, as they will determine everything if one party or the other emerges in control of both houses. We'll see! The U.S. is at a crossroads! The shit is definitely beginning to hit the fan with the Mueller Investigation and now this latest Putin Ass Kissing on top of it! One wonders, What's Next?

  2. Sky news:

"Why does Donald Trump want to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem?

Trump has long championed the causes of those on the hard-right of Israeli politics.

Not least because they have supported him. Take Las Vegas casino tycoon Sheldon Adelson - a passionate supporter of radical Jewish settler groups in Jerusalem.

He gave a cool $35 million to groups supporting Trump's election campaign, which bought him a seat on the platform among former presidents for Trump's inauguration.

He has been said to be furious at Trump's delays in moving the embassy"

I love how you and many of your lefty friends always act like you know all about world affairs.
I would imagine you have a stream of players coming to visit your home in Mississippi. You must be up to date on what the arab leaders are really thinking.

By the way do you have any idea what Trumps envoy Jared Kushner has be arranging with Saudis leaders and others during his trips over there the last few months.

Nothing says well reasoned like a hitler essay.

  4. And Donald agrees with you.

"Last April, perhaps in a surge of Czech nationalism, Ivana Trump told her lawyer Michael Kennedy that from time to time her husband reads a book of Hitler's collected speeches, My New Order, which he keeps in a cabinet by his bed ... Hitler's speeches, from his earliest days up through the Phony War of 1939, reveal his extraordinary ability as a master propagandist," Marie Brenner wrote.

Hitler was one of history's most prolific orators, building a genocidal Nazi regime with speeches that bewitched audiences.

"He learned how to become a charismatic speaker, and people, for whatever reason, became enamored with him," Professor Bruce Loebs, who has taught a class called the Rhetoric of Hitler and Churchill for the past 46 years at Idaho State University, told Business Insider earlier this year.

"People were most willing to follow him, because he seemed to have the right answers in a time of enormous economic upheaval."

When Brenner asked Trump about how he came to possess Hitler's speeches, "Trump hesitated" and then said, "Who told you that?"

"I don't remember," Brenner reportedly replied.

Trump then recalled, "Actually, it was my friend Marty Davis from Paramount who gave me a copy of 'Mein Kampf,' and he's a Jew."

    "

Trump must have liked it because he got a copy My New Order after that I imagine?

Si I think people are in fair comment territory when they make Hitler references with Donald. (his grandad was a German.. though Donald lied about it half his life saying he was Swedish)

    right...

so hitler was making deals with Isrealis to move the German embassy to Jerusalem.
and hitlers daughter was married to a prominent Jew
and hitler had a rabbi at his swearing in. (may have been the first president ever to do that... I don't ever recall seeing a rabbi in that high a profile position )

you lefty's are so unhinged you don't even care that your hitler comparisons are the 180 opposite of what is going on. its moronic.

you would think that the one thing you would not do would be accuse the most Pro Isreal president we have seen in years... hitler.

  7. Jews were just Hitler's target for the people to hate. It could have been people with freckles. Trump is directly taking plays from Hitler.

Hitler comments are fair in his case.

  8. The big lie.

    Hitler's use of the expression
The source of the Big Lie technique is this passage, taken from Chapter 10 of James Murphy's translation of Mein Kampf:

But it remained for the Jews, with their unqualified capacity for falsehood, and their fighting comrades, the Marxists, to impute responsibility for the downfall precisely to the man who alone had shown a superhuman will and energy in his effort to prevent the catastrophe which he had foreseen and to save the nation from that hour of complete overthrow and shame. By placing responsibility for the loss of the world war on the shoulders of Ludendorff they took away the weapon of moral right from the only adversary dangerous enough to be likely to succeed in bringing the betrayers of the Fatherland to Justice.

All this was inspired by the principle—which is quite true within itself—that in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods.

It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying.
    — Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf, vol. I, ch. X[1]
Thus, according to Hitler, the "Big Lie" was a propaganda technique typically used by "the Jews".[1]

    Goebbels's use of the expression
Later, Joseph Goebbels put forth a slightly different theory which has come to be more commonly associated with the expression "big lie". Goebbels wrote the following paragraph in an article dated 12 January 1941, 16 years after Hitler's first use of the phrase. The article, titled Aus Churchills Lügenfabrik (English: "From Churchill's Lie Factory") was published in Die Zeit ohne Beispiel.

The essential English leadership secret does not depend on particular intelligence. Rather, it depends on a remarkably stupid thick-headedness. The English follow the principle that when one lies, one should lie big, and stick to it. They keep up their lies, even at the risk of looking ridiculous.[2]

It isn't as though this embassy move hasn't been considered. It has. Tillerson and Trump discussed it soon after the election, but one would think Tillerson would have consulted with old state department hands and warned trump not to do it. I have to think Trump made this final decision precipitously without consulting Tillerson. We'll know the details soon enough. Will it be another case of dodging the question, as when Sexy Rexy called Trump a moron?

which is why I put it out there as a question to show we don't really know what is going on behind the scenes.

I have heard talking heads on the radio yesterday saying Kushner was putting together allies against Iran and this was part of the equation.

don't know if its true... but if its true it completely cuts against the lefts talking points that piezoe is putting out there for us.

we also know why piezoe's paymasters are so triggered.
They spent eight years favoring groups like Iran and the muslim brotherhood and hezbollah and now trump is erasing their work.

we saw the antipathy Obama had for Isreal's leaders... now this reverses course.

But, again its completely ridiculous to call Trump Hitler as he massively supporting Jews in Isreal.
