COP 1: They're shooting at me. She's re-racking a round inside the shot gun. COP 2: Let's not engage them anymore, let's not challenge them. Hold behind hard cover. LMAO! So, cops can decide to not shoot, and hold behind hard cover, instead of returning fire because they "fear for their lives." Shocking!! (sarcasm) They've always had this option. Well ... it depends on the description/neighborhood of the suspects.
They shot her in the end. Nearly everyone one gets a chance to go into custody peacefully. These kids got a lot longer than adults, but they still shot her in the end. The boy came out with his hands up. Its easy: don't resist arrest and you wont end up dead.
Looks like the home owner had a stash of powerful weapons that those kids came upon when they broke into the home of the owner. Yet, why didn't the police just throw in some smoke grenades or lure them outside with an offer to give them cookies / donuts / brownies / ice cream ? Come out with your hands up and we'll give you "all you can eat" donuts. Something to try before shooting the girl (Bonnie...joke from Bonnie & Clyde) wrbtrader
This is one of the problems with US gun laws.So many owners are extremely careless. These idiots leaves AK 47s so insecure that a 12 and 14 year old can get into their house and take them. There should be gun laws that gun owners have to check there guns in with law enforcement once a year.If any of there guns are missing they should be banned from owning guns for 5 years, lifetime ban for a 2nd offense.if a person cant keep their guns out of the hands of criminals they shouldn't be allowed to have them imo.

Well, if the cops stop fearing for their lives all of a sudden, and stop shooting back at you, and give you hours to figure it all out, you will.
The home owner probably had several Call of Duty and GTA video games that those kids played before they decided to arm themselves with the weapons lying around in the house. Not sure if that state has laws against owners not properly storing their weapons in a secure location (e.g. gun safe) but if that state does... The owner should be fined / arrested and at the minimum investigated to ensure he wasn't planning to cause harm to the community, co-workers or ex-spouse. wrbtrader
