Hello everyone, I am incredibly new to trading. I started reading about the market and different aspects of it a few months ago and i havent stopped since. I cant get enough of it. i am wondering if people can give me advice on how I turn this into a Career. I have read tons and tons of negative things and a few positive things about trading. So im not entirely naiive. I have been looking around and realized that unless I already have tons of money, prop firms seem to be the best way to make some kind of income. I have been browsing this forum, but i have not really found a uniform opinion of them on here. I will point out that im 26 now and beyond the normal range of higher education. Which means id have to go back if i needed to. What kind of educational background is best for this? Or what skills should i start developing to succeed? Thanks.
Some variables: 1. Quality of prop firm (do they provide a fair structure or do they make money from charging you monthly fees?) 2. How consistently profitable you are 3. Trading style (hold time / need leverage) Decent prop firm + consistently profitable + short term trading = good way to make income
That link, and subsequent links, were immensely helpful. I now have a new goal of refining and perfecting the system ive been tinkering with. That being said, what are you opinions of prop trading firms? What should i look for once i am comfortable with my system? This is where ive read wildly varying opinions. Bare i mind i have no intent of attempting joining one for more than a year.

u might want to consider topsteptrader. but then again there are other ways to learn without paying....
Don't waste your time or your money and run like the wind as far as you can. Most fail, the cost of admission is very high and even if you succeed, you won't see good rewards for a very long time because the learning curve is tremendous. However, if you like huge challenges, welcome aboard
