Vertical "ergonomic" mouse

  1. Anyone uses one like the Logi MX Vertical? Would you recommend it or it's an acquired taste?

  2. I bought one when I suffered from a so called repetitive strain injury or mouse arm if you will. It was a great relief at the time being, but when the acute phase was over I eventually stopped using it and rarely use it these days.

I prefer an ordinary mouse, but vertical mouses are supposed to be better for your wrists and I have colleagues which use this one 100% of the time.

So glad this thread is created. I am going to buy this mouse right now. I suffer from carpel tunnel syndrome very frequently and it's really annoying and painful. I never knew these kind of mouse existed. I can feel an instant relief by just mimicking the motion of holding a vertical mouse!! OMG! This would help me a lot.

    Sigh....
    My wrist area is aching.

I am doing stretching exercise around the wrist area.

If it doesn't work, I have to try different mouse.

I had the same problem and the ergo mouse worked wonders. It takes minutes to get accustomed and having your wrist in a vertical position is a great relief.

Nowadays i also use my left hand, this allows for a 50% reduction. I tried my foot too for another reduction, but that didn't work out. On a serious note, the two hands approach can also work out (unless it gives you many 'fat finger' trades)

  7. I've been using a vertical mouse for a couple of years.

Significant reduction in wrist pain. A decent memory foam wrist rest helps too.

Once called being on the dark side, I have been an Apple person for so many enjoyable years. My wrist and palm hurt me a great deal for a long time while using my mouse. I began using a Magic track pad and the pain subsided after a week or so. I am sure your thinking why to I want a pad from my laptop on my desk. May not be your thing yet, wanted to relay my experience. I have enjoyed the pad over many years with no pain.
    Good luck in your search.
