Using Treasury Bills as Margin Collateral with FCM

Discussion in 'Retail Brokers' started by TheBlackFrog, Jan 27, 2017.

  1. Does anyone here use treasury bills to post collateral with their FCM? Specifically a FCM that does not offer access to the fixed income markets. How difficult is the process to transfer the treasuries between accounts? What happens when they mature?

    Thanks

    TheBlackFrog,

I'm very interested to know where you name came from.

At Lightspeed Trading, we introduce futures accounts to Wedbush futures. I asked Wedbush your question and their response was,"95% of the T-bill can used for margin credit(buying power)...You can roll it out or allow it to mature."
