I hold several uranium stocks some months now, there are probably about 7 reasonably good uranium stocks listed on ASX. Definitely a good place to be imo.
Recently Macro voices had a two-part series "All things nuclear" and it was very informative. If you have some spare time it is well worth it. https://macrovoices.podbean.com/e/macrovoices-355-mark-nelson-understanding-all-things-nuclear/ https://macrovoices.podbean.com/e/macrovoices-356-justin-huhn-investing-in-all-thing-nuclear/ I currently am in URNM ETF, SRUUF, and BHP.
BHP's uranium production has been falling over the past year, it has only one mine in South Australia, Olympic Dam. Olympic Dam is however the fourth largest copper deposit and the largest known single deposit of uranium in the world. Copper is the largest contributor to total revenue at that mine, accounting for approximately 70%, with 25% from uranium, and approx 5% from silver and gold. However, in terms of total BHP revenue, uranium is an insignificant financial contributor, something like no more than 1%.
I realize BHP is not a pure uranium play however their other products are attractive to me as is the dividend. I have URNM to cover more of the uranium sector.
Another good play is Cameco. Since quite a bit of nuclear fuel is refined and processed in Russia this Canadian company should benefit from the current geopolitical environment. The reasoning is further explained by a nuclear expert in the second linked podcast above. https://www.cameco.com/about Vanzandt; Fluor may be a good play however I would be concerned about what role they would play now that the idea of modular reactors and SMRs are going to have going forward. With the massive cost and time overruns experienced by constructing the entire reactor on site there may be a push for factory-built reactors. I am not here to argue about anything; just stating what I believe may happen.
BTW another player in the uranium sector (miner, developer and explorer) is PALADIN ENERGY (PDN). Slowly it's getting out of the penny stock area and technically it looks promising IMO.
