OK...let us try this again with no flaming from trolls As a better introduction I will give links to show my TA experience on the Internet I am Canadian and participated on Yahoo Answers/Business and Finance/investing since 2008 On this site you are rated by the country of origin even though the questions and answers are world wide. I rank #1 on the Canadian version of Yahoo Answers...which is more of a testament that not many Canadian investors make comments on this site frankly but it does indicate that my advice on TA and other issues are respected in a world wide context http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/dir/index?sid=396545322 As I said, Yahoo Answer rating are based on the country of the investor, despite the fact that we all answer the same questions. Here is the American rankings http://answers.yahoo.com/dir/index?sid=396545322 my number of "best answers" is 2043...if you look at the USA rankings that would put me at about 9th position if you include Canada and the USA. I am not stating that Yahoo Answers is the Gold standard for financial advice but I have been on this site since 2008 and am a staunch defender of TA and my brand of TA since I have been there starting on 2008. I am not a newbie as has been claimed...I deserve some respect to at least hear out my way of using charts. If you disagree with my approach, respectful questions will be answered and my claims are always backed up with examples. If you find an example that does not agree with my approach, I would love to see it and we can discuss it rationally. If I receive flames as before...I will just pack up and leave. My purpose is education...I have researched charting for over 20years, I am retired and the market is my sole source of income for the last 10 years which is when I retired. @kut2k2 you are not welcome in this thread....@wiesman02 if you decide on attacks and not discussion...than you can stay out too...my ideas are NOT a simple chart observation...they are a systematic way of using charts to evaluate a position. 'nuff said....I have added a poll to find out if I am really wanted here...
go on with your thread, it is a creative one, just do not answer to offensive nonsense, they will quieten up quickly. cheers !!!!!!
it is infact a good idea to discuss and go really really forensic into individual indicators and combination of few.............if only OP is given a fair chance !!
You think that was a fair chance??? the flaming from one individual caused me to defend myself and prompted the thread to be shut down.... If I could have blocked that poster all would have been fine and I would have continued. Right now I am waiting for results of that poll which frankly is 50/50 right now with a low participation rate considering the number of views. So {shrug} if that is how it is I have no desire to reveal what I have learned ....no loss to me if there is no interest. Some may think I proceeded too slow...but I wanted to show how these charts where constructed step by step...these are not magic bullet charts...my approach is to arrive at a consensus from an an analysis of a number of overlay and indicators...it is not something that is done in 25 words or less
To me, it makes little difference. I have been trading my own proprietary TA based system for 15 years now. But if you want to share yours, you will have to expect that there will be some criticism, skepticism etc etc. That's the nature of success in this field. Few attain it and many people who want it badly and cant find it, will make that known. As far as Kut2k2, the guy has been a solid poster here for years. Not sure what your beef is with him but I don't see anything on the previous thread that warrants your demands that he stay away. Unless posts were deleted that were truly bad, which I can not see. Anyways, just go about your business here. You clearly WANT to discuss your findings, so go ahead the floor is yours....
You can't please all of the people all of the time. With that in mind, I'd be willing to read what you have to offer. One thing is for sure in the world of TA; You never stop learning (or at least you shouldn't). I can't speak towards Yahoo Answers, but forums are a whole different breed. If you think you're going to control what happens, you better work on your coping skills 'cause it ain't happenin'. As a seasoned veteran of forums, I can tell you... Just do your thing and weed out the people who aren't interested or just disrupting. Attention whores need one thing... Starve them. Now get back to the task at hand.
I consider myself a pretty patient person. But when are you gonna get on with it? I'll at least hear what you have to say, even though I didn't vote. Best to you.
