I currently have a pretty nice office setup with 2 49'' Samsungs plus 2 1080p monitors on a Falcon (Intel i9-10900X with 10 cores + 64 GB ram). However, I'm looking for a good road warrior setup with the maximum pixels. Ideally I would have a 4k laptop with two additional 4k monitors giving me a total of 24,883,200 pixels. Are there any good laptops that support this? I will run Esignal, TradeIdeas, DAS Trader Pro, and Benzinga along with some web browsing.
I have an MSI GE76. Size of a 15" with a 17" screen, packed in a Pelican case. 4K is available and autoroll over on the network disconnect is standard. I can recommend the UPerfect 17" 4K screens because I use the 16" 2K screens. So you can get 3X 17" at 4k. Cost would be about 4.5K.
The 15.6'' 4ks are like $240 on Amazon while the 17.3'' 4ks are $560. I would imagine the 17.3'' monitors will come down quite a bit in time as they're only 22% larger. It would be nice to have a 17.3'' laptop with 2 17'' portable monitors.
Yeah, sometimes just getting openwrt running is a bit of pain; esp. if your hardware won't cooperate. You could always try openvpn (or wireguard) on a proper linux box instead. There are decent helper scripts here.
