I have two samsung screens with one charting programe stretching over them but the background colors are different and yet they are from the same paint palate.

Where would I look to correct this anomaly please.

    thanks

if there is a big diff, often the cable is not attached correctly. try diconnect and connect again.

Is one monitor connected via DVI and the other VGA?

the difference is not huge, just annoying.

that is all beyond my paygrade, but the techo installed a RADEON HD 3450 in order to couple the second monitor yesterday.

Check the ports on the video card. Are they different? One white, the other blue? If so, that's DVI + VGA and they often display a bit differently (no way to make them the same, AFAIK)... possibly something to consider when using multi-monitor rigs.

Addendum... I just checked the HD3450 out. It does come with both DVI and VGA ports... some cards come in various configurations.... so there may be one with two DVI or two VGA ports.

BTW... No offense intended, but all the stuff posted on ET and you went with THAT card for dual monitor?

If you want both screens to display the same, suggest you replace that ATI card with Nvidia Quadro NVS 290... make sure you get a DVI cable with it.
