I wanted to know if any ET members were using Trading Technology's Algo Design Lab feature ? If so, how easy is it to build out strategies without a coding background, and how stable has it run for you ? Thanks in advance.
It's pretty straightforward with the exception of a few features that are not as intuitive. Just call up their dev team and you can usually have someone make a quick template that you can try to dissect and learn from.
Their online forum provides solid examples and responds to questions, often with graphic examples of a solution, https://forums.tradingtechnologies.com/forumdisplay.php?24-ADL%AE
Thanks for the responses. I really would prefer to use the TT ADL since I have been using X-Trader since 1997. Do any users have stability or fill issues or messaging problems that they wish to share ? Please PM me if you feel more comfortable in that regard. The less coding the better, as that is in no way a personal competency. I have some " lead-lag" correlation inter market strategies I wish to try out in live markets.
There's a bunch of stuff online and they offer a free class in their office. Call them. They helped me move an autotrader strategy onto ADL and this helped a lot in getting better fills. It's also easier to manage your quoting and avoid getting dinged by the exchange.
like all visual development tools ADL is simple for simple things and difficult (if not impossible) for more complex things
I use it but currently only as an enhanced spreader. Like another poster said, it can do simple things pretty well (and deploy them quickly) but for me it's failed a bit on more complex ideas. As for stability, ADL doesn't talk to Excel too well in my experience, especially receiving data/inputs.
