Hydroxychloroquine, a drug President Donald Trump had lauded as a potential cure to Covid-19 since March, was ripped by two separate studies Friday which found there was “no benefit” for people who are fighting coronavirus.

In the first study, researchers in France monitored 181 Covid-19 patients and found no differences in those who took it and didn’t. A second study conducted in China split 150 coronavirus patients in two groups and found adverse reactions to the drug were more common after four weeks than helpful.

Hydroxychloroquine first garnered attention when Elon Musk tweeted about it on March 16. Trump first mentioned the drug on April 5 and asked, “What do you have to lose? What do I know? I’m not a doctor. I’m not a doctor. But I have common sense.” A day later, it was revealed Fox News’ Laura Ingraham met with the President with her “medical cabinet” to promote the unproved drug.

Dr. Rick Bright, who filed an official whistleblower complaint and testified Thursday, claimed he was booted from his job for questioning hydroxychloroquine. Many cable news hosts fought against the usage of the drug from Rachel Maddow to Jake Tapper to Chuck Todd.

On April 24, the FDA warned against the usage of hydroxychloroquine after people reported problems taking it and Trump has since backed off on bringing up the drug during his press briefings.

The last time Trump was asked about hydroxychloroquine was April 23 in a press briefing, where he responded, “We’ve had a lot of very good results and we had some results that perhaps aren’t so good. I don’t know. I just read about one, but I also read many times good. So I haven’t at all. And it’s a — it’s a great — for malaria, for lupus, for other things. And we’ll see what it is.”

I'm possibly the only one here who has had malaria and having been on the stuff at therapeutic doses. The small single weekly malaria prophylactic dose VS the levels touted as needed. it is really tough going.

I was on it in hospital for just a week and I felt and looked old for over six months, I lost a lot hair thickness, maybe a quarter of follicles that never recovered.

The China study, they were not holding back.
It cones in 200mg tablets, prophylactic dose depending on size would be 200 to 400mg once a week if I remember correctly.

"Interventions HCQ was administrated with a loading dose of 1, 200 mg daily for three days followed by a maintained dose of 800 mg daily for the remaining days (total treatment duration: 2 or 3 weeks for mild/moderate or severe patients, respectively)."

Drop the political bullshit narrative. Hydroxychloroquine was and is considered in the medical community as a possible treatment for CV19, as it’s a zinc ionophore. Trump was only grandstanding it. NIH has recently started a new study looking into its use combining it with zinc and/or Zpacs in mild to moderate cases.

Orangeman bad, It never ends with you Soros shills.

Drop the spinning bullshit narrative, we have video cameras. Hell, there's a well documented thread on this forum on what Donnie thought about HCQ

Egit, nobody was or is against studying it. It was the criminally stupid shilling and the born from conspiracy tards way it got to his attention, just like the magic mineral bleach cure that worried people.

You give everyone else a break and fuck off with your iron age understanding of everything.

    You have no shame.

my theory is Donnie was so proud to learn the pronunciation of Hydroxycloroquine after hours of practice, that he had to double down on being a cheerleader lest his efforts go to waste.

I don’t care what you think of Trump, half hate him, half like him but negating the drug simply for political purposes is pure crap.

Shame? Dude, go look in a mirror......mumbles something about glass houses and throwing stones.

Edit, here just checked the youtube medcram videos for an update. You have watched these and “liked” them.

Lo and behold what’s todays update?

It's not for political purposes, remember for a moment tbe is is just 4.25 percent of the world. 95.75 percent of humanity are not in your American political madhouse.

I got some before Trump, I have someone living with me who is highly lung compromised due to a temporary but serious problem. Also high quality zinc and a whole bunch of other drugs.

I have read every damn thing and there is just no evidence it works. There are however shed loads of fake stories from trumpets and rubbish studies.

Beyond me, I have two very good doctors at the hospice who know their shit and they won't use it on their own families based on all they have seen and knowledge of the side effects, this was a malaria area when they were young doctors.

They have better drugs and lifestyle / diet improvements.

I and this person have been off sugar for over two months.

It's not politics other than the scam side of getting suckers who were not going to get ill anyway to take a placebo so their gratitude is with the magic medicine man.

If a real trial shows promise, great. You will see me promoting it merrily but... I cannot do that for my own loved ones.
